I heard that Neal and his Family is going to put on a memorial tournament for their mother (NellyAxtell). I would like to know where and when this might take place cause if possible I would like to make arrangements to attend. so if anybody has that info for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank ya'll  |

This was the "tentative" agenda that I received via email early last month. Might call and find out if anything has changed between now and then.
Friday June 6th
5 or 6pm Warm-up Pow wow (Pi-nee-waus) and Open Stickgames (possibly @ old Rodeo grounds)
Saturday June 7th
9am: 3 on 3 Youth Basketball Tournament @ Elementary school
Noon: Dinner @ Pi-nee-waus
2pm: Social Pow wow
2pm: Stickgame Tournament, times tbd

;D Well hello there all of you fellow Stickgamers!!! The memorial stickgame for my aunties, counsin, nephew, and grandson will be on June 7th, 2008. There will be $5000 plus added for the prizes. we are looking at a first to fifth place tourney. There will be traditional games starting at noon and so bring whatever you would like to bet. The traditional games as well as opening ceremonies will be recorded for memories of this time and will be available to all by request. There is a $1000 raffle taking place and will be announced on Saturday night at around 10 pm. Tickets are: $1 for one chance $5 for six chances $10 for fifteen chances $20 for 40 chances I will hopefully be in Ft. Hall with tickets or you can get them at the stickgame. as well as the $1000 there will be other prizes to be awarded after the $1000 such as stickgame set, drum, rattle, chairs, gas cards, meal tickets and more. We hope to see you all here. The casino is at this time filled up but the number is (208) 746-0723 in case rooms may open up. There is also a number of other hotels such as Holiday Inn Express, Red Lion, Inn America, Quality Inn, Super 8, Motel 6 in the Lewiston/Clarkston Area which is 12 miles from Lapwai. The stickgame will be held in Lapwai at the City Park. The Stone Setting and Seven Drum Service will be held in Cha-week-ta and the Piniiwaus community center. the giveaways will be on Friday June 6th as well as a feast. We would like to welcome everyone of you to join us for these doings as we would like to give thanks to you for being here for us now and always.
